Information Liquidity

Information liquidity describes the free flow of information among multiple tools and appliances in CoMotion. In finance, liquidity describes the easy conversion of assets to cash on demand. In our systems, information can be exchanged and visualized in multiple forms and is not trapped in legacy locations or hard-coded interfaces. Information can flow within a single person's workspace or among many repositories and collaborators.

We achieve information liquidity by breaking data into its smallest meaningful units. These bundles of attribute-value pairs adhere to domain-specific information models based on how data needs to be used by humans, not by computers. The information bundles are tied to and used by the "nouns" of software, the interface elements. This separation of data and software elements is key to information liquidity.
